Ah, the dreaded drug test.

Even with the legality of many substances such as marijuana, some employers still frown upon their employees using any drugs. This includes pre-employment drug screenings and randomly selected drug tests.

For those who haven’t used any substances banned by your employer, you have nothing to worry about.

Most employers ask for a urine test which can be easy to swing even if you’ve been regularly using. However, a few companies will require a hair test to check for substance use over the past few months.

The Macujo method is a popular hair cleansing technique that removes from drug compounds from your hair. Many people rave about its success rate making it a great option if you need to pass a potential hair test.

Here’s everything you need to know about hair tests and the Macujo method.

How Hair Tests Work

A hair test works like any other drug test by analyzing the chemicals and substances in your body.

Unlike other drug tests, a hair follicle test can test for drugs that were used months ago. When your hair grows, the follicle deposits compounds, including THC and other drug compounds into your hair. What you put into your body feeds into your hair.

Your hair doesn’t regularly flush out toxins like your blood or urine, traces of drug compounds will stay in your hair. Your employer will be able to see if you’ve used any weed or drugs in the past 90 days or more.

On the bright side, a hair test won’t be able to track anything you took within a few days leading up to the test. Since hair grows slowly, you’ll have a small grace period.

Hair follicle tests are rarely used as they are very expensive. Unless you have a very demanding job or a paranoid employer, you’re more likely to experience blood and urine drug tests.

If you’ve hit the bong in the past 90 days and are asked to take a hair test, you’ll be in a bit of a pinch. This is when you’ll want to consider the Macujo Method.

What is the Macujo Method?

The Macujo method is a hair cleaning technique that removes drugs such as THC, from your hair. It involves a combination of safe cleaning products that essentially strip traces of THC from your hair.

This method works best on marijuana users. People who use other drugs and opioids are less likely to get the desired results with the Macujo method.

How it Works

The Macujo method is a two-step process requiring 4 ingredients. Your hair is made up of a cuticle, the cortex, and a medulla.

The Macujo method is made up of two parts. The first removes dirt and oil while breaking down the cuticles. The second part opens the cuticles and flushes out the THC from the cortex of the hair.

Ingredients you’ll need are:

  • Distilled white vinegar
  • Clean & Clear Pink or shampoo with Salicylic Acid
  • Aloe Rid Detox Shampoo – Must use this shampoo
  • Laundry Detergent – Baking Soda can replace detergent if needed

A hairnet and rubber gloves will help protect your hands and face during the process. Once you have all the ingredients ready, you can get started on cleaning your hair.

Macujo Method Directions

This hair cleaning regimen can be time-consuming and may need to be repeated a few times for the best results.

  1. Start by stopping the use of marijuana or other drug substances
  2. Dampen your hair with warm water. Avoid drenching it
  3. Massage vinegar into your hair from root to tip
  4. With the vinegar still in your hair, add the Clean & Clear or Salicylic shampoo. Thoroughly massage into your hair and scalp then let sit for 30 to 45 minutes
  5. When the time is up, rinse out the vinegar and salicylic shampoo with the Aloe Rid Detox shampoo. Use it a second time to ensure all shampoo is out of your hair
  6. Use a small amount of liquid detergent, or baking soda, and massage through your hair and  rinse

Let your hair rest for about 10-12 hours then repeat the entire process.

How Safe is the Macujo Method?

Any hair cleaning treatment is harsh on your hair with some methods are harsher than others. The Macujo method is a safer treatment compared to the Jerry G treatment process. The Jerry G treatment is known to destroy your hair follicle leaving your hair damaged and brittle.

After the process, your scalp may feel irritated and sore. After you’ve repeated the process a few times your hair may start to look frizzy. Don’t fear as these are only temporary side effects and won’t cause any serious damage.

After the hair test, use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to get back your hair’s healthy look.

While the products used in the Macujo method are fairly harmless on their own, it can be easy to get carried away. To avoid damaging your hair or skin, follow directions carefully and use as little laundry detergent as possible.

Hair Types

If you have thick hair, thin hair, or anything in between, the Macujo method works well on all hair types.

In some cases, people with thicker hair may need to repeat the process a couple of extra times. If you use a hair relaxer you’ll be happy to learn that it removes weed and other drugs from the hair.

You can use the Macujo method on body hair. However, this approach is not strongly recommended as it can cause irritation to the skin and may not be as successful.

Does the Macujo Method Work?

The Macujo method works with a 90% success rate. It’s most successful for people who use marijuana, but there are stories of people who’ve been successful in eliminating traces of other drugs from their hair.

As long as you stop using marijuana and other drugs as soon as you’re asked to take a hair test you’ll increase the odds of the Macujo method working.

Start the process no later than 5 days before the hair test. This allows you time to do multiple more cleanses which will help clean new hair growth.

If you only have a couple of days before the hair test, try to clean your hair with the Macujo method at least 3 to 4 times. You can repeat the process every 10 hours without damaging your hair and scalp.

Do note that results do vary by person. A heavy marijuana user will require more washes than someone who enjoys weed once in a great while.

The type of drug used also affects the outcome as the Macujo method doesn’t always work on other drugs and opioids.

With the high success rate, you’ll have a very good chance of receiving a clean result from your hair test.

After the Test

The Macujo method successfully works on the majority of people who’ve used it. Stopping the drug use and following the directions carefully will result in a clean hair test.

If you plan to use after the test, wait a few days to ensure everything with the first hair test goes well.
